If you aren't enjoying water sports in Rincon, there
are lots of activities you can enjoy on land. During the winter season, head for
the Lighthouse Park to watch the surfers or incredible
Whale Watching. You'll also find great
Horseback Riding,
Parasailing,
Sightseeing Tours, Day Sailing & Sunset Cruises,
Skating & Skate Board Park,
Yoga & Wellness and Gyms
and Public Sports Complex.
Check with your hotel or guest house for information
on mountain biking, bird watching, hiking and nearby golf courses. Every June
you'll want to join the excitement of the Rincon Triathlon. Late August is the
time for our Patron Saint Festival which is held near the central plaza
downtown.
To help you plan your trip to Rincón,

by their location within the town of Rincón. You'll want to explore
all of Rincon, but this list will help you plan your visit based on
the area that best suits your personality and needs.
Whale Watching:
Whale Watching: One of the
most spectacular sights in nature is the annual migration of Humpback Whales
that takes place off the coast of Rincon every winter. The peak season is in
February - but whale sightings are possible as early as December and as late as
March. The Lighthouse Park is the best place to view the whales from land
- although you'll see them through the waters off Rincon's beaches. If you
prefer to see the whales up close - check with a dive shop or day sail tour for
information on charter boat trips.

Moon Dog charters operates a deep
sea charter excursion boat for sport fishing, diving, and whale
watching. We fish for billfish such as marlin, sailfish, and
swordfish as well as dorado, tuna, wahoo, and shark in the blue
waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean.
Island Time" - 1994 Albemarle
Express Sport Fisherman. 32 feet 2 inches length, 11 foot beam,
cruises at 25 knots, runs at 30 knots.
Newly equipped with twin 370
horsepower Yanmar diesel engines. She has a clean electric head,
AC, and a microwave and refrigerator in the galley. She is fully
rigged for fishing with Lee out riggers, two down riggers, a
Release fighting chair and Penn International reels.

We offer daily trips to nearby
Desecheo Island (weather
permitting), for Snorkeling, Scuba Diving and Discover Scuba
Diving. We meet at our shop at
7:30am which is located a few steps from our boat at the
Black Eagle Marina in Rincon. The
ride to the island takes about 35 minutes and we anchor at two
different sites, based on the day's conditions. The visibility is a
consistent 100 feet and the water temperature varies between 80F and
86F. All trips are lead by experienced captains and divemasters.
Included in the price are 'gourmet' sandwiches, water/soft drinks as
well as snorkeling gear. We return
about 2pm.

Horseback riding on the beach is
one of the adventures offered by Tropical Trail Rides (see listing below)
Horseback Riding:
If you love horses, you'll have an
unforgettable experience riding along the beaches of Puerto Rico. Horseback
riding is a favorite activity in Puerto Rico - and there is a long tradition of
raising 'paso fino' horses. There are two stables in the Rincon area that you
can contact directly or arrange a day of horseback riding through your hotel
once you arrive in Rincon. Even if you've never ridden a horse before -
beginners are welcome!

 Here at Tropical Trail Rides we offer a
variety of possibilities for your horseback riding adventure.
We operate 7 days a week with 2 rides daily. The morning ride, at
9am, is a perfect way to start your day.
Or if you prefer, you can see the
best sunsets on the 4pm tour. Each tour lasts approximately 2
hours, and it's amazing what you can do in those 2 hours! We cater
to groups or individuals. Inquiries into specialty rides are
welcome.
We have 25 horses.Our
horses are well cared for, very gentle, but spirited! We take
pride in the health & happiness of our animals.

 Rincon
has a Skate Board Park located in the Downtown area, just a few
blocks from the main town plaza.
No one under 18 will be allowed to
enter or remain in the Rincon Skate Town Park (“The Park”)
unless they are wearing full protective gear, including, but not
limited to, a helmet, elbow, wrist and knee pads. All
participants must have a signed liability waiver on file with
the Park. Rincon Sk8 Town can help with all your sk8ing needs!

If you want to explore the nearby attractions of western
Puerto Rico, a guided tour is a great way to visit the Camuy Caves, Arecibo

Rincon Sports Complex
Sports Center and Public Gymnasium:
Rincon has a great sports complex which is open to the
public and a great facility for visitors who want to stay in shape while on
vacation. Located in the Corcega section of Rincon, you'll find a running
track that is a favorite for local joggers. There is also a well-equipped
gymnasium if you want a more intensive workout. There is also a basketball
court, baseball diamond and tennis courts. The Sports Complex has plenty of free
parking and is open seven days a week. To reach the Rincon Sports Complex, just
follow Route #115 out of Downtown Rincon and you'll see the sign on your right.
